Passionate transportation planner and human rights advocate based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
I was born to South Korean immigrant parents in Toronto, Ontario, where I grew up in the east end neighbourhood of Cliffside in the former City of Scarborough, now part of the amalgamated City of Toronto.
Throughout my childhood, I’ve always had a fascination for the built environment and how we navigate it. I even drew pictures of TTC trolleybuses in my daily first grade journal entries.

I eventually went on to earn two bachelor’s degrees at the University of Waterloo followed by a master’s degree in Planning at York University while spending my summers and co-op terms living and working in various parts of the Province including northern, eastern and southwestern Ontario. I am now in the midst of a career as a Transportation Planner. Although I believe in exploring your own back yard (ie. Ontario) before the rest of the world, I’ve made every effort to experience how people get around in various other parts of the world including Amsterdam, Seoul, Berlin, Bangkok, and New York City.
I now live in Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood with my daughter Jayme (born 2021), wife Jessica and our pet Shih Tzu Digsy.
